Important details about year-end giving

With the countdown to 2018 on, we realize that you may be making some final plans for year-end giving. Please know that the Quad Cities Community Foundation is here to assist you in facilitating your generosity in a seamless way.

We've put together a few important reminders for you:

  1. Our office will be open from December 26 through December 29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are closed on December 30 and 31. If you seek gifting assistance outside office hours please leave a message on the main mailbox at 563-326-2840 or email Anne Calder at annecalder@QCCommunityFoundation.org.

  2. Gifts mailed through USPS must be postmarked by December 30, 2017 to be credited on 2017 taxes.

  3. Online gifts can be made until 11:59 p.m. central time on New Year's Eve. Click "Donate Now" and then "Make a Gift."

  4. Gifts arriving via UPS or FedEx must be received at the Community Foundation by 5 p.m. on December 29, 2017 to be credited in 2017.

  5. Notify us now of any gifts you plan from more complicated instruments such as stock or IRA distributions, or electronic fund transfers, as these can sometimes take extra time to arrive at the Community Foundation. Be sure to tell your servicer to include your name and the designation of your gift in the transfer. You can email Anne Calder at annecalder@QCCommunityFoundation.org to notify us.
