With the countdown to 2020 most definitely upon us, we realize that you may be making some final plans for year-end giving. Please know that the Quad Cities Community Foundation is here to assist you in facilitating your generosity in a seamless way.

We've put together a few important year-end reminders for you:

  1. Our office will be open December 26, 27, 30 and 31 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you seek gifting assistance outside office hours please leave a message on the main mailbox at (563) 326-2840 or email Anne Calder at AnneCalder@QCCommunityFoundation.org.

  2. Gifts mailed through USPS must be postmarked by December 31, 2019 to be credited on 2019 taxes. Make all gifts payable to “Quad Cities Community Foundation” with the fund name in the note.

  3. Online gifts can be made until 11:59 p.m. central time on New Year's Eve. Click the bright orange GIVE button.

  4. Gifts arriving via UPS or FedEx must be received at the Community Foundation by 5 p.m. on December 31, 2019 to be credited in 2019. Make all gifts payable to “Quad Cities Community Foundation” with the fund name in the note.

  5. Notify us now of any gifts you plan from more complicated instruments such as stock or IRA distributions, or electronic fund transfers, as these can sometimes take extra time to arrive at the Community Foundation. Stock transfers must be delivered to the Community Foundation’s receiving institution prior to 3 p.m. on December 30 to ensure they will be counted as 2019 gifts. Be sure to tell your servicer to include your name and the designation of your gift in the transfer. You can call Anne Calder in our office or email her at AnneCalder@QCCommunityFoundation.org for assistance.

Thank you again for joining us in transforming our region, and we wish you a very Happy New Year! We look forward to working with you in 2020.
