PURPOSE
The Mount Carroll Community Foundation is here to help our community's charitable projects and programs contribute to the quality of life in our community. One of the ways that is done is through grant awards.
Founded in 2011, the Mount Carroll Community Foundation, a component fund of the Quad Cities Community Foundation, annually distributes funds from its endowment earnings to community non-profit organizations that enhance the quality of life in the community we serve.
APPLICATION PROCESS
The Mount Carroll Community Foundation, as a component fund of the Quad Cities Community Foundation, uses the Community Foundation’s online grants system. This allows our applicants to complete, save, and submit their grant applications and final reports in one place and have ongoing access to them.
Applicants can create their own organizational profile and login information on the system. They can then select the "Mount Carroll Community Foundation Grants" opportunity from the list and create an application.

Eligibility
Grants will be awarded to nonprofit organizations for projects or programs that are located in or serve Mount Carroll, Illinois.
Organizations submitting an application must comply with the Quad Cities Community Foundation’s Diversity and Non-Discrimination Policy.
Organizations working in the field(s) of health and human services, education, the arts, the environment, youth services, social services and any other charitable field are eligible to receive grants from our granting programs.
Grants are not awarded for the following areas: annual fund raising, organizational endowment funds, deficit financing, grants to individuals, or for sectarian purposes.
When a grant check is cashed, the organization is obligated to use it for the purpose given in the application. Projects may not be altered from what was proposed in the application.

Final Reports
Grant recipients will be assigned a final report form to complete in the same system where they completed the application. Organizations are ineligible for future Mount Carroll Community Foundation grant funds until a completed report has been received.
